What is the science of prosthetics?

Have we ever thought about what our life would be like without an arm or a leg? It would be difficult or even impossible to do many of our daily activities. Thanks to prosthetics, we can use artificial limbs to replace the limbs of our human body (arms, legs). This happens either in the case of amputations or in congenital limb defects.

Prosthetics belongs to the science of biomechanics, which also includes research and analysis of the human system (muscles, skeleton, and nervous systems) in order to contribute to the biomedical industry.
